A group of Qaddumi Foundation alumni took part in evaluating the UK master’s degree scholarship applications for the 2024/2025 academic year, a round of applications launched in May 2024. The evaluation committee included Ahmed Al-Agha, who holds a master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering and Management from the University of Birmingham and is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Dundee, Scotland. Moustafa Abd Moussa, a holder of a master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Birmingham, also served on the jury. Moustafa is an Assistant Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Birzeit University, where he currently serves as the Head of the Department. Another jury member was Dana Tahboub, who earned her master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London and now works in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the Arab American University in Jenin.
After volunteering with the Qaddumi Foundation to evaluate Palestinian students for scholarships, the alumni expressed their pride and satisfaction in serving on the jury and contributing to the Foundation’s efforts to support Palestinian students.

Reflecting on his role in the evaluation process, Ahmed shared: “I have participated in the master’s scholarship jury for two consecutive years. It’s an honor to be part of the same program from which I benefited eight years ago. The process was challenging, given the high caliber of applicants and the rigorous selection criteria that ensure fairness and equal opportunities for all.”

Moustafa added: “Throughout the evaluation process, I couldn’t help but recall my own experience applying for the same scholarship years ago. Seeing the applicants in that position deepened my sense of responsibility toward Palestinian students.”

Dana shared similar thoughts, stating: “It has been an honor to serve on the scholarship jury and help offer the same transformative opportunity that once shaped my own journey. My experience as a scholarship recipient was truly remarkable and has had a profound impact on my professional career.”
