Commenting on the announcement of the scholarship recipients, Rana Diab, Executive Director of the Qaddumi Foundation, said: “For more than 20 years, the Foundation has supported Palestinian students in pursuing degrees in Engineering and Technology. We are proud of the professional and academic achievements of past scholarship recipients and look forward to seeing more of our promising youth make the most of this opportunity, preparing them to meet the demands of today’s ever-evolving world.”

Majd holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Islamic University of Gaza and has been awarded the QF scholarship to pursue an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Technology at the University of Liverpool, UK. Upon completing his MSc, Majd plans to return to Gaza to help rebuild the industrial sector using advanced manufacturing technologies and sustainable practices. Since the age of 13, Majd has been passionate about volunteering and community service. He has volunteered to provide essential supplies to vulnerable families, and more recently, he applied his technical skills to ensure a continuous power supply at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital during the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

Ayah also co-founded the Palestinian Astronomical Society, an initiative that combines her love for science with community education.

Ayham An-Najjar holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Birzeit University and has been awarded the QF scholarship to pursue an MSc in Engineering Project Management at the University of Leeds, UK. Ayham chose this specialization because of his passion for large-scale infrastructure projects. He believes it will equip him with the essential skills needed to lead engineering projects, contribute to Palestine’s development, and drive positive change in the region’s engineering sector. Alongside his technical expertise, Ayham has taken on leadership roles in various volunteer projects aimed at improving the living conditions of vulnerable communities in Palestine. For instance, he led an environmental planning project in Al-Twaneh Village and helped secure support for families affected by economic hardships in the West Bank.
